After a strong beta installion and European launch, and production testing, Kyocera Nixka Inkjet Systems announces the global availability of the Belharra inkjet photo printer. Designed specifically for professional and high-volume photo printing environments, Belharra combines Kyocera Nixka’s advanced inkjet technology and industry-proven system engineering to deliver exceptional image quality, reliability, and productivity, while highlighting the environmental aspect, the company claims.

The company claims environmental breakthroughs, thanks to water-based inks, reduced energy consumption and footprint, and minimized waste. A recent life-cycle assessment (LCA) comparing Belharra prints with traditional silver halide processes shows an average 60% reduction in environmental impact, while maintaining superior print quality and competitive running costs.

“After a highly positive market response in Europe, expanding to the international market was the natural next step,” said Jean-Marc Pasturel, sales and marketing Director. “Belharra proves that high-quality photo printing can go hand in hand with sustainability. The technology has demonstrated high reliability and running cost efficiency in true industrial conditions.”
